We actively encourage our North American Clients to visit our Partner Facilities in Vermont or one of our many happy Clients across the USA and Canada. We are also proud to welcome Clients to our Factory in the UK, the birthplace of the original Land Rover Defender.
As a guide we ask for a Deposit to secure your dream Defender followed by Phased Payments at agreed points whilst your vehicle is being prepared.

TATC is pleased to offer a comprehensive Warranty on all of our Custom Restored Restorations. This warranty is valid for three months, commencing on the date on which the client takes handover of the vehicle. Clients can opt to enhance or increase their Warranty at additional cost up to a maximum period of 2 Years for that extra piece of mind.
TATC also provides a Warranty for our Pre-Owned Vehicles and this is agreed on a case-by-case basis. Clients can opt to enhance their level of Cover and this will be agreed with your Sales Contact in advance of the Vehicle being delivered.

Yes, we have many Customers within CA who are driving their Defenders on a daily basis! Here’s a breakdown of what you’ll need to consider and the steps you may need to take.
Ensuring CARB compliance is necessary for vehicles to be legally registered and operated in California. By adhering to CARB’s strict emissions standards, vehicles are modified to significantly decrease harmful pollutants that can harm the environment and public health. Following these regulations is crucial for promoting improved air quality and reducing emissions in states that have adopted CARB guidelines. TATC have close links to Companies able to assist with the CARB process so whilst detailed, the process is actually very straightforward.
After your Defender has passed through the Californian CARB Process and has passed inspection, you can proceed with the title and registration process. You’ll need to provide the necessary paperwork, including proof of ownership, importation documents, and any inspection certificates. TATC will ensure you are provided with the Original Certificate of Registration, the Final Invoice of Purchase, the Customs clearance documents (issued by customs broker), the Service interval document and electronic Workshop Manual.
You’ll also need to pay the appropriate fees for registration and taxes.
Don’t forget; before you can legally drive the vehicle on California roads, you’ll need to obtain insurance coverage for it. Make sure to shop around and find an insurance provider that offers coverage for imported or specialty vehicles.
